George & Rocio Carballo
Lead Pastors
George and Rocio Carballo are the lead pastors of VIVE Houston.
After serving for more than a decade in denominational youth ministry leadership within the Assemblies of God, George and Rocio traveled across the United States preaching, discipling young leaders, and helping churches reach the next generation. Through those years of ministry, God placed a growing burden in their hearts for the city of Houston.
In 2019, they stepped out in faith to plant VIVE Houston, a church committed to reaching people from all walks of life with the message of Jesus Christ. Their heart has always been to build a multicultural, Spirit-filled church that faithfully teaches the Word of God and actively serves the community.
George is a Houston native who has spent his life investing in the spiritual and social fabric of the city. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Central Bible College and a Master of Theological Studies from Northpoint Bible College & Seminary. In addition to serving as lead pastor, George works professionally in marketing, branding, and digital design, helping businesses and organizations develop websites, graphics, and communications that tell their story effectively.
Rocio is originally from Tyler, Texas, and brings both ministry and professional counseling experience to her work in the church and community. She studied at Latin American Bible Institute and Nelson University, and recently earned her Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Houston Christian University. Rocio currently serves as a school social worker, supporting students and families throughout the Houston area. She also serves her denomination as a Network Director of Girls Ministries, helping disciple and develop the next generation of young women in the church.
Together, George and Rocio share a deep passion for missions, discipleship, and community transformation. Their vision for VIVE Houston is not only to see lives changed locally, but to raise up leaders and plant churches throughout the United States and around the world.
They have been married for eleven years and live in North Houston with their son Georgie and their dog Osito.
Above all, their greatest desire is to see people discover new life in Jesus Christ and experience the transforming power of the Gospel.

Through VIVE Houston, they are committed to reaching people throughout the Near Northside, The Heights, and greater Houston area with the message of Jesus Christ. Their vision is to build a church that reflects the diversity of Houston while helping individuals and families grow in their faith, discover their purpose, and live out the Gospel in everyday life.
